The Customs and Excise English Community (CEEC) recently held an engaging classroom session on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, from 08:30 to 09:20, with their esteemed teachers, Mr. Clint and Ms. Mikale Mikayla Mcatee, both from the USA. The session focused on enhancing English language skills through meaningful discussions and interactive activities. Participants were excited to explore a significant historical topic—Indonesia's independence—as a way to practice their language abilities while also deepening their understanding of national heritage.
The discussion on Indonesia's independence allowed members to share their thoughts and learn new vocabulary in a context that resonated deeply with them. Mr. Clint and Ms. Mikayla expertly guided the conversation, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to contribute. This method not only facilitated language learning but also encouraged the participants to express their ideas and opinions confidently in English.
To wrap up the session, the group played a card game designed to reinforce the vocabulary and concepts they had discussed. This activity added an element of fun and competition, making the learning experience both enjoyable and effective. The combination of cultural discussions and interactive learning methods provided a well-rounded and memorable experience for all members of the CEEC.
